Eye Exams

A comprehensive eye exam begins with us gathering information about the reason for your visit. We will also ask about your past medical and surgical history, medications, allergies, family history of eye disease, and current health.

We will check your vision and write a prescription for glasses if necessary. Your eyes will be checked for diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration using an array of special instruments. Your eyes may be dilated with drops to give us the best view of the back of your eye. Dilation may cause light sensitivity, for which you will be provided free sunglasses if necessary.
